Time is a precious commodity, and it represents our experience and moments. Every "NOW" is a chance for us to make a positive impact.
— Yvonne Loke
I view fears, struggles, and challenges as my source of inspiration.
For years, I used to think that I’m not cut out to be an entrepreneur. Kept questioning myself why I couldn’t be more like ‘her’, oozing confidence, love public speaking and showing up on social media.
As an introvert mom and entrepreneur, the struggles are real and is still happening right now in my household. But I’ve come to realize that my introverted nature is not a weakness, but a strength.
I know what it’s like to fear asking for help when you are juggling work and parenting. I have my own way of doing things and worry that if someone else handle it, it won’t be as perfect as doing it on my own.
I know what it’s like to feel obligated attending family event when you need to meet your work deadline. With introversion, you might feel strange and awkward because small talk is so exhausting.
I know what it’s like to feel burned out and finding the emotional energy to parent your child, especially when you have an energetic one.
And I’ve certainly experienced burnout, desperately clinging to nap time or any other break from the constant noise. But through all these challenges, I’ve grown stronger and more resilient. Each obstacle is an opportunity to learn and become a better version of myself.
So now, instead of fearing these struggles, I embrace them as my inspiration source.
Embracing Fears, Struggles and Challenges
I used to feel overwhelmed and lost when it came to setting and achieving goals. But then, I stumbled upon Tim Ferris’ book, The 4 Hour Workweek, and it was a total game-changer.
😨Fear can be an intimidating force, but it doesn’t have to be.
Instead of seeing fear as something to avoid, I embraced it as a tool to propel me forward.
Tim Ferris’ Fear Setting practice taught me how to use fear to progress.
I’m a firm believer that setting realistic and meaningful goals is key to achieving success. To help me stay on track, I adopted his technique called Fear Setting.
With Fear Setting, I’m able to identify my fears, take a practical approach to addressing them, and set realistic goals.
I’m no longer held back by uncertainty and hesitation, but instead empowered to take action and move forward with confidence. This practice involves breaking down my goals into smaller steps, and then assessing the risks and rewards of each step.
Using my current fitness goal example – Attaining a toned body like ‘Jennie from Blackpink’. I identified the risks and rewards of exercising. This helps me assess the feasibility of my goal and create a sustainable workout routine.

I literally manifested Tim Ferris into my life.
His philosophy on productivity and goal-setting resonated deeply with me, and so I incorporated it into my daily routine.
Within one month into my “New Mindful Productivity” system, I witnessed a change in my mind and body. I was able to wake up earlier to go to the gym, and workout alone despite my social anxiety fear.
That led me to create my Mindful Goal Tracker Template in Airtable. My framework allowed me to dodge bad habits, set realistic goals, and track my progress while staying true to my values and priorities.
